FRAMEWORKS FOR USING TECHNOLOGY IN EDUCATION
TPACK: WHERE AM I NOW?
We explored 3 types of Frameworks for using Technologyin the classroom. These are: Technology Pedagogy and Content Knowledge (TPACK); Substitution, Augmentation, Modification and Redefinition (SAMR), as well as International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Nets.
Unlike SAMR and ISTE, TPACK is used to understand and describe the kinds of knowledge needed by a teacher for effective and efficient pedagogical practice in a technology enhanced learning environment. (Wikipedia). As pre-service teachers, we are in the process of scientifically constructing and building our TPACKs through EDU 210 program. Based on the original TPACK image, the following Venn diagram represent my TPACK as of today.
This diagram was created using Google Drawing Tool. The tool was used instead of PowerPoint because it is very easy to use and in addition, it produces excellent results.
