UNIVERSAL DESIGN FOR LEARNING AND ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY FOR LEARNING

Today our classrooms are more diverse than before. Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is a framework that assists educators in proactively designing for diversity and using technologies to provide support, choice and flexibility to students.  Technology can highly be used to support UDL. An example of such technology is Web 2.0 tools.

Using Papyrus e-book tool I will present Web 2.0 tools that can be used for education. I decided to use Papyrus e-book tool rather than ePuBud and Cast UDL Book Builder because:

1.     It is very easy to use because it has a friendly editor.

2.     It is easy to navigate.

3.     It has a variety of template one can choose from.

4.     After publishing the e-book, a PDF file is generated and sent to ones email.

5.     Unlike ePuBud which uses arrows to open up pages of the published e-book, Papyrus uses scroll down page.

This is my book I created using Papyrus.
